2017 board members named by Arts Alliance

The Franklin County Arts Alliance (FCAA) met for an annual membership meeting on Thursday, January 5 at the Cultural Arts Center. For a listing of board members and directors for the coming year, see the January 12 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.

Quilts, pastel art classes planned

A community quilting club is being formed and is available for all beginners, intermediate, advance, and especially want-to-be quilters. Nancy Beauchamp will be teaching a pastel art class for beginner and intermediate painters.

Jammin’ with Dylan Saturday

The Cultural Arts Center will be the location of a jam session with Dylan McNutt at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 10.

The Cultural Arts Center will be the location of a Paint Your New Year’s Cheer wine glass class on Thursday, December 29 starting at 9:30 a.m.

Franklin Follies debuts Saturday

The curtain will part for the  Eye of the Beholder production presented by the Franklin Follies at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 3 in the Mount Vernon ISD auditorium. Tickets are $10.
