Merry Christmas Pageant

Morgan Mayes, Chloe Copeland, Meredith Majors, McKinleigh Garrett, Lilly Ann Ellis, and Elizabeth Stone won titles in the inaugural Merry Christmas PageantEleven Miss and two Mister Merry Christmas titles were awarded at the inaugural Merry Christmas Pageant conducted by the Community Christmas Celebration group Thursday evening, November 3.

Miss Merry Christmas Pageant set for Nov. 3

A Miss Merry Christmas Pageant is being planned for Thursday, Nov. 3 and will include a variety of categories for both male and female contestants in nine different age groups.

Food, music, bikes and Punkin’ Chunkin’ fun at Alamo Saturday

Food, music, vendors, bikes, and Punkin’ Chunkin’ will top the list of activities this weekend at the Alamo Mission Museum (AMM). The fun will begin on Friday night and continue all day Saturday, November 12.

Eroica Symphony to be performed

Mount Vernon Music offers a welcome alternative to the noise of election season with Beethoven’s epic “Eroica Symphony” at The Music Hall at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 30.

Powerful music

Orchard Ensemble members up to the challenge were Mark Miller, violinist, far left pianist Evan Mitchell, violist Ute Miller, and chellist Nikola Ruzevic. A pensive and moving performance of Braham’s op. 8 and Beetoven’s Sinfonia ‘Eroica’ op. 55 was performed at Mount Vernon Music Hall Sunday afternoon.
