Museum board plans annual meeting

The Alamo Mission Museum of Franklin County will conduct its annual membership meeting and potluck dinner at the Cultural Arts Center at 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 14.

Slack to present Shakespeare program

Trivia contest online

The Mount Vernon Main Street Alliance is sponsoring a Christmas Trivia contest to promote the downtown area. The contest began Monday and will continue through Wednesday, Dec. 25, Christmas Day on the group’s Facebook page. For more information, see the Dec. 19 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.

Early deadlines apply for Optic-Herald editions

The Mount Vernon Optic-Herald will observe early deadlines for the next two editions of the newspaper for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. The deadline for news and advertising for the Dec. 26 edition of the newspaper will be noon on Friday, Dec. 20.
