The Saltillo Community Homecoming will be Sunday, October 12, in the Saltillo School Cafetorium at 150 County Road 3534, off FM 900N in Saltillo. The class of 1964 will be highlighted.

Marathon runners

Courtney Marshall and Kayce JordanCourtney Marshall and Kayce Jordan participated in a half marathon benefiting the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation in Sulphur Springs on Saturday, September 20. Mrs. Jordan was first, and Mrs. Marshall was third in their age division.

Hunter safety course scheduled at school

A course in hunter education is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights, September 29 and 30 and October 1. The 10 hour course will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. every night in the Mount Vernon High School Agricultural Building.
