The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce recently voted that the fifth annual “Go Rodeo” festival was a go. That action set a variety of activities into the planning stages to augment the Annual Labor Day Rodeo
sponsored by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Posse. Sheriff’s Posse representative Katrina Easterling said that the festival has helped to boost rodeo attendance in recent years. For details, see the Aug. 8 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
