David Dean presented a program on Native American culture as a part of the Feb. 27 Pack meeting for Mount Vernon Cub Scout Pack 271.
About 30 boys ages seven to 11 years of age and their families heard stories and examples of how native American Indian tribes used the resources available to improve their lives as well as to bring art to the areas in which they lived. Mr. Dean provided a variety of functional as well as decorative items made by people of various tribes across the mid-west.
