Kick-off set for CHEMPA group

The annual Kick-Off Party for CHEMPA, the Christian Home Educators of the Mount Pleasant Area, will be Tuesday, September 2. The event will be from 7 to 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.

Prayer service at campuses

The Ministerial Alliance of Franklin County is sponsoring a community wide prayer service on Sunday evening, August 24. This non-denominational event is for the entire community.

Hare earns master degree in counseling

Sarah Anne HareSarah Anne Hare graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont with a master of science degree in School counseling on Saturday, May 17. Ms. Hare maintained a 4.0 grade point average while obtaining the degree.

Sulphur Bluff seniors awarded over $336,000 in scholarships
