Class of 1951 gathers for reunion

Huizinga honored for academics

Cole Huizinga received a silver award from the head of the Criminal Justice department at Lubbock Christian University.Cole Huizinga, a 2012 graduate of Mount Vernon High School, was honored for his academic accomplishments in multiple ceremonies at Lubbock Christian University (LCU) over the past two weeks.

The Mount Vernon High School class of 1951 reunion has been set for Saturday, May 2. The event will be conducted at the lake home of Steve and Tammy DeWolf with Rex and Barbara Norris as hosts.

Horticulture class plant sale set

The horticulture class at Mount Vernon High School has planned their annual plant sale for Saturday, April 11. The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the green house
