Ramirez accepted at West Point

Johnny RamirezJohnny Ramirez has been accepted at West Point and will report there in July. He is the son of Juan and Bertha Ramirez and a 2010 graduate of Mount Vernon High School.

Scott on LaTourneau University Dean’s List

Colby Scott was recognized for outstanding academic accomplishments by being named to the LeTourneau University Dean’s List for the Fall 2013 semester. Mr. Scott achieved a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.99 for the semester to receive this honor.

Mandatory broiler meeting called

A Mount Vernon - Saltillo Project Show meeting for broiler participants will be Monday, February 3 at 6 p.m. in the Saltillo Ag Building or at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4 in the Mount Vernon High School Ag Building.
