Creating a sundae

Dayne Carr adds a scoop of ice cream atop the head of elementary music teacher Tina Carter Dayne Carr adds a scoop of ice cream atop the head of elementary music teacher Tina Carter at the school’s Heart Rally celebrating raising funds for the American Heart Association.

Students who earned at least $15 for the project had the opportunity to add ice cream, chocolate or strawberry syrup, marshmallows, sprinkles, cherries and whipped cream to Mrs. Carter’s sundae. To learn more about this event, see the February 16 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
