The Franklin County Commissioners unanimously approved the use of $400,000 from the county’s General Fund to be used toward completion of a complex of ball fields.
The court authorized an amendment to the 2010 budget to accomplish the funding. “After the two hearings we’ve conducted we (commissioners) have had overwhelming support for the project, and we consider it in our minds to be an emergency for safety’s sake,” Pct. 1 Commissioner Danny Chitsey prefaced his motion.
