Kidsafe safety event kick off set

The kick off for a five-day Operation Kidsafe event in Mount Vernon will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, December 5 during the annual Christmas Festival in the Centrury Room.

Mount Vernon Cares: Growing strong roots in the Community

Food basket registration deadline next Tuesday

The deadline to apply for food assistance in the Christmas for All food program is Tuesday, December 8. Applications are available only at the Community Food Bank of Franklin County.

More than $31,000 raised for scholarships
