Chipping away the old sidewalk

Workers jack-hammered the old concrete in front of the Franklin County Genealogical Society Workers jack-hammered the old concrete sidewalk in front of the Franklin County Genealogical Society building, last week. The replacement of the sidewalks on the south side of the downtown plaza is progressing and should be completed in the coming weeks.

Patriotic Parade

Heather McAnally and Jax GonzalesHeather McAnally and Jax Gonzales were joined by 48 students age birth to 12 years old as Kids Under Construction Daycare conducted their annual Patriotic Parade on Wednesday, July 3. The students wore items they made for the celebration and marched around the facility’s parking area.

Del Winborn received injuries in a tree cutting accident Del Winborn received injuries in a tree cutting accident on Saturday, June 29 in the 1500 block of Hwy. 37 S. Mr. Winborn was in the bucket of a tractor attempting to cut down a tree on the property when the tree fell on him.
