Ice machine donated

Denise Trantham NETO Program Director, center, was on hand to accept the donation. Several local individuals, organizations, and businesses recently donated a Scotsman ice machine to the Northeast Texas Opportunities, Inc. Meals on Wheels program.

Photos, stories, memorabilia wanted for information sharing

Mount Vernon is one of just eight locations state-wide for an information sharing/gathering meeting on all things of the Bankhead Highway. The local event has been set from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 at the Cultural Arts Center.
