Auxiliary ladies seek to break world’s longest line dance record

The American Legion Auxiliary ladies have taken on the challenge of creating the world’s longest line dance. The record breaking attempt will be made Saturday, April 28 in downtown Mount Vernon. “We have to have 2,355 people to beat the current record,” Pam Bolin, event organizer said. That line would be just short of three miles long. For more information, see the March 29 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
