Property values rise more than nine percent

The Franklin County Appraisal District released the certified tax rolls to local taxing entities this week showing overall values rose 9.5 percent.

The appraised values for properties in the county were set at $1,224,096,260. The number is up $106,446,960 from 2012 values. See the July 25 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for a listing of taxable values for the various entities in the county.
