Mass mailings cause for concern in General Primary

Mass mailings of ballot application forms to registered voters over the age of 65 are a concern to Franklin County Election Administrator and County Clerk Betty Crane.

At least three different forms for requesting primary and subsequent ballots have been received by some Franklin County voters as of Tuesday. Voters should send in only one request for a ballot by mail, cautioned Ms. Crane. Duplicate requests, or requests completed incorrectly can cause a missed opportunity to vote. See the Feb. 6 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more information about this issue.
