Foreman Kenneth Waun of Avinger and Bo Strawn of Daingerfield apply the final coat of paint to protect the metal pump and railing of this clarifier unit at the Mount Vernon raw water treatment plant.
Crewmen with J&A Coating, LLC, contractor for the reworking of the unit, remove the sand blasting materials and complete touch up paint inside the tank of the unit. It should be returned to service by the middle of next week. Regular maintenance keeps the unit at peak capacity. See the March 6 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more details.
