Franklin County Commissioners Court members left about $12,000 more in cuts in the hands of the county auditor and treasurer after five and a half hours of meetings and budget cutting Monday, July 28.
The remaining cuts were what the Court believed to be needed to bring the budget general fund expenditures down and keep the tax rate under the rollback cap. See the July 31 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for details on the county’s budget process.
