Bridge replacement began this week on two rural roads in northwest and southwest Franklin County. The bridges are on County Roads NW 1012 on Denton Creek about 1/4 mile north of I-30 and SW3250 on a tributary to Big Cypress Creek about 1/2 mile east of the Franklin/Hopkins County line and FM 3019. The project is expected to extend 102 working days. An anticipated completion date of June 2012 is projected. See the January 19 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more details about the bridges.
