The Texas Education Agency (TEA) announced last week that the third round of State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STARR) testing for fifth and eighth grade students was cancelled.

Talsma, Williams selected as FFA Foundation Ambassadors

The Foundation Ambassadors serve as official liaisons to sponsors, special guests and dignitaries during the annual Texas FFA Convention set for July 11-15 in Dallas.

Selena RomeroSelena Romero, a senior at Mount Vernon High School, was selected by the Texas Girls Coaches Association Spirit Committee as an All-State Cheerleader. She is a member of the 1A-4A Red team.

Summer Feed ongoing at MVISD

The summer feeding program at Mount Vernon ISD is now underway in conjunction with the annual summer school and will continue through Thursday, June 23.

Rosas, Ham earn high honors at Sulphur Bluff Junior High

Over $102,700 in scholarships awarded to Saltillo graduates
