Updated shot records needed prior to school

All students at Mount Vernon ISD must be up to date on their immunizations prior to the start of school on Monday, August 26. Updated shot records can be dropped off

Area classes resume Monday, August 26

Classes will resume at area schools including Mount Vernon, Saltillo, Sulphur Bluff, and Winfield on Monday, Aug. 26. Each school has set their own schedules for preparing their teachers and new staff.

Board members hear complaint about elementary, and set budget, tax rate
