All-Region Jazz honors

School bus wreck anniversary Friday

The 58th anniversary of the Mount Vernon school bus wreck will be Friday, September 29. The bus, carrying students and faculty to a football game in Cooper, was hit head on by a salt transport truck near Cooper.

Complaints raised to school board members

Just when it was thought to be safe to go back into the water, several complaints were brought to the attention of the Mount Vernon ISD school board during their Monday, September 11 meeting.

MVISD releases STAAR, end of course exam results
