Colorguard wins National titles

Mount Vernon High School Colorguard members display their trophies.The Mount Vernon High School Colorguard participated in the Marching Auxiliaries annual National Championship on April 8 and 9 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

Dairy Judging team compets at Houston

The Dairy Judging team competed at Houston and placed 28th out of 64 teams.The Dairy Judging team competed at Houston and placed 28th out of 64 teams. Natalie Oud was 17th high point individual out of 205 in the contest.

Eckstein, Stinson, Russell receive MVISD awards

Honorees at the Mount Vernon ISD Employee BanquetTanya Eckstein was named the Secondary Teacher of the Year, Sandy Stinson was named Elementary Teacher of the Year, and Robert Russell was named Auxiliary Employee of the Year

FFA brings home six blue ribbons

FFA members who displayed Ag Mechanics projects in Houston and their prizes.The Mount Vernon FFA brought home six blue ribbons from all six projects entered into the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR)  Ag Mechanics Contest March 18-20.
