Vega, Canada take top honors at Winfield ISD

Destination Imagination team is fifth at global

Savanah Oud, Kristina King, Mason Lowery, Brian and Brent Baird, and John Oud.The seventh and eighth grade Destination Imagination  team garnered a fifth place finish at the Global competition at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Barnett, Kearney take top honors at Saltillo High School

Justin Taylor Barnett and Jordyn L. KearneyJustin Taylor Barnett will graduate as valedictorian and Jordyn L. Kearney will graduate as salutatorian of the Saltillo High School class of 2014 in ceremonies on Friday, May 30 at 8 p.m. in the school gymnasium.

Cheyenne Bryant and Tyler RaineCheyenne Bryant and Tyler Raine will graduate as valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, at the Sulphur Bluff High School 2014 Graduation. The ceremony will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 7 in the Sulphur Bluff High School Gym.

Top readers recognized in annual Reading Rally

The top readers in the annual Reading Rally at Mount Vernon Intermediate and Junior High schools were recently recognized.  During the nine week rally, students were encouraged to read and earn as many Accelerated Reader points as possible to be eligible for various prizes.
