FFA collects five blue ribbons

The Mount Vernon FFA brought home five blue ribbons from six projects entered into the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR)  Ag Mechanics Contest March 23-25.

Students who are members of the Mount Vernon FFA, Mount Vernon Junior FFA, and Franklin County 4-H organizations have signed up to exhibit goats, steers, dairy heifers, and broilers at this year’s project show and auction on Saturday, April 1.

More than 90 entries have been registered for the annual Mount Vernon / Saltillo Young Farmer Project Show. The event is this Saturday, April 1 at the Livestock Pavilion located on FM 115 in Mount Vernon.
