The Million Word Challenge reading contest continues for students at Mount Vernon Intermediate School. Since early October, students have been challenged to read one million words in Accelerated Reader books.
Prizes are given out as students reach incremental goals along the way to their ultimate million word goal. These students earned the prize for reaching the million word goal, a trip to lunch with Kathie Thompson. See the January 9 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more information.
