The Mount Vernon ISD Board of Trustees could possibly have been in violation of the Texas Open Meetings Act during the Monday, April 10 regular meeting.
The number of people to be allowed in the board room was limited. Also, At the end of the meeting, audience members became very agitated when the board voted unanimously to approve administrators contracts as presented by the superintendent, but did not share what that entailed.
