The Texas Water Development Board will hold a public hearing on the draft preliminary recommendation regarding resolution of the interregional conflict between the 2011 Region C and the Region D Regional Water Plans. The hearing will begin at 2 p.m. on April 29, 2014, at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center.
The draft preliminary recommendation contains the Texas Water Development Board’s proposed recommendation to the Board members of the Texas Water Development Board to resolve the interregional conflict between the 2011 Region C and Region D regional water plans by instructing the Region C Regional Water Planning Group to readopt its current regional water plan with Marvin Nichols Reservoir as a recommended water management strategy and instructing the Region D Regional Water Planning Group to amend its plan to reflect that the conflict has been resolved. The full draft recommendation may be found by going to the Board’s website at http://www.twdb.texas.gov and clicking on the Hot Topic, “Region C and Region D Interregional Conflict, Timeline and Proposed Resolution.” Background, references, and timeline information are also available at that site.
