MOUNT VERNON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA MAY 15, 2014

The Mount Vernon Economic Development Corporation will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall at 109 N. Kaufman St., Mount Vernon, TX. Members of the Mount Vernon City Council and Mount Vernon Main Street Alliance may also be in attendance at the meeting.

The purpose of the meeting is as follows:
I   CALL TO ORDER

II  OPEN PUBLIC HEARING
A. Hear evidence for or against funding Existing Business Structure Assistancefunds ($15,000) to John and Denise Case for business building improvements @405 S. Highway 37, Mount Vernon, TX for the purpose of establishing a pharmacy
B. Hear evidence for or against funding $50,000 in EDC matching funds toward a $150,000 Texas Capital Fund Main Street Sidewalk Program Grant, east side of Square.

III ADJOURN PUBLIC HEARING / CONVENE TO CLOSED SESSION pursuant To section 551.087 of the Texas Government code to deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive:
A. Consider funding Existing Business Structure Assistance to John and Denise Case for business building improvements @405 S. Highway 37, Mount Vernon, TX for the purpose of establishing a pharmacy: $15,000
B. Consider $50,000 EDC matching funds toward a $150,000 Texas Capital Fund Main Street Sidewalk Program, east side of Square.

IV OPEN SESSION: ACTION ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION
 A. Take Action regarding funding Existing Business Structure Assistance funds ($15,000) to John and Denise Case to assist in renovation costs for a new pharmacy
B. Take action regarding funding $50,000 in EDC matching funds toward    a $150,000 Texas Capital Fund Main Street Sidewalk Program Grant, east side of Square.
