Public Notice - City of Mount Vernon - Advertisement for Bids - 7/3/2014

Sealed bids addressed to Tony Stonecypher, City Administrator, City of Mount Vernon, 109 North Kaufman, Mount Vernon, TX, 75457, will be received until Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and supervision necessary for the construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements,

in accordance with the plans and specifications.  At the time stated, proposals will be opened and publicly read at the City Hall, 109 North Kaufman, Mount Vernon, TX, 75457.

Contract documents including bid proposal forms, plans sheets, and specifications for the Project may be viewed and downloaded free of charge (with the option to purchase hard copies) at www.civcastusa.com. Printed copies of the Contract Documents may be viewed at KSA Engineers, Inc. located at 140 E. Tyler Street, Suite 600, Longview, TX 75601.

This contract is contingent upon release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board. Any loan award is contingent upon release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB).  Funding for this project is expected to be provided in part by the Texas Water Development Board.  Neither the State of Texas, nor any of its departments, agencies or employees is, or will be, a party to this contract or any lower tier contract.

Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rates must be paid on this project.
