An election is hereby ordered to be held on Saturday, May 6, 20 I 7 for the purpose of electing Directors for Place One and Place Two to serve until the first Saturday in May 2021 and a Director for Place Four to serve until the first Saturday in May 2019 and thereafter until their successors have been declared elected and qualified.
To be eligible for the office of Director, a person must be at least eighteen years of age and reside in the territorial limits of the Commissioners Precinct for which Director’s office they are seeking.
Applications for a place on the ballot shall be filed by February 17, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted each weekday in the District’s office at 112 N. Houston St. in Mount Vernon, Texas, between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. beginning on April 24, 2017 and ending on May 2, 2017.
Applications for ballot by mail shall be mailed to: Eva Sims, Early Voting Clerk, c/o Franklin County Water District, P.O. Box 559, Mount Vernon, Texas 75457.
Applications for ballots by mail must be received no later than the close of business on Apri l 25, 2017.
