ADVERTISEMENT and INVITATION for BIDS for ELEVATED STORAGE TANK
Cypress Springs Special Utility District will receive bids on behalf of Franklin County for a 200,000 gallon Toro Ellipsoidal Elevated Storage Tank until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2012 at the Cypress Springs SUD office, 114 FM 115, Mt. Vernon, TX 75457, at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications are on file at Hayes Engineering, Inc., 2126 Alpine St., Longview, Texas, 75601, (903) 758-2010.
Copies of the Bid/Contract Documents may be examined without charge at the office of Hayes Engineering. One set of contract documents may be purchased from Hayes Engineering for $50.00. No refunds will be made.
A Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to Cypress Springs SUD, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value), may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond.
Funding for this project is from a grant (TxCDBG # 711200) received by Franklin County on behalf of Cypress Springs SUD from the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Office of Rural Affairs. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by ORA and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
Cypress Springs SUD and Franklin County reserve the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.
Bids may be held by Cypress Springs SUD and Franklin County for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.
All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.
