Marie Lindley Roush passed away July 6, 2010 in Collin County, Texas.
Marie was born September 10, 1920 to Joe and Myrtle Tillman Lindley. She grew up in the Prairie Grove Community of Franklin, attended Prairie Grove School, and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1938. In 1945 Marie married Kenneth Richard Roush at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana. They had one daughter Yvonne Marie. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers Harold and Haskell.
She is survived by her daughter Yvonne and her husband Jay Hankamer, a granddaughter Heather Jean Hankamer, a grandson Hunter Jay Hankamer and his wife Heather, all of the Dallas area, a brother Pat Lindley of Mount Vernon, a sister-in-law Dorothy Lindley, three nephews, Todd, Joe, and Jim Lindley; two nieces, Kim Lindley and Vicki Beaty, as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her extended family,members of St. Andrew Christain Church of Carrollton, Texas.
Marie will be remembered for having written numerous articles about life in early Franklin County for the Franklin County Genealogical Society. At her request her cremated remains have been mingled with those of her husband
