Funeral services for Hazel Stanley, age 81 of the Hagansport Community, were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010 at the Harvey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Pierce Chapel Cemetery with Dalton Graves and John Mullins officiating.
Mrs. Stanley was born May 21, 1929 in Brashear, Tex., to Thomas E. Davis and Ruby Romack Davis. She was married to Gerald Stanley. She died Monday, Aug. 2 in Tyler. She was preceded in death by her first husband, C. B. Martin on Sept. 22, 1957 and four brothers, Thomas, Joe, John D., and Jerry Wayne Davis.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Stanley of Hagansport; four children, Sue Tittle of Sulphur Springs, Clifton Martin of Blanket, Tex., John Stanley of Farmers Branch, and Shelia Sandberg of Manvel, Tex.; three brothers, James Davis of Sulphur Springs, Eldon Davis of Winnsboro, and Clifford Davis of Liberty City; two sisters, Betty Russell of Mount Pleasant and Ann Ashton of Ohio; seven grandchildren, Holli Anthony, Jeffery Tittle, Sloane Tittle, Marty Martin, Kelli Martin, Kate Sandberg, and Austin Sandberg; five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
