Funeral services for Aubrey Dean Chitsey, age 85 of Winnsboro, were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 27 at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Burial was in the Cypress Cemetery in Franklin County with Bro. Guy Wilson, Bro. Henry Suche, and Rev. Reid Fade officiating.
Mr. Chitsey was born Nov. 12, 1925 in Franklin County to Ollie R. and Era Fay Wylie Chitsey. He was a dairy and cattle farmer, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro, and a member of the Airstream Club.
He died Monday, July 25 in Winnsboro. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Joyce, John, and Henry Chitsey.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rosemary Chitsey of Winnsboro; a son, Jack Alan Chitsey of Winnsboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Jill Kathleen and Johnny Ray Hobbs; a brother and sister-in-law, J. D. and Monty Chitsey of Dallas; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Randy Carroll, Michael Brewer, Seth Hobbs, Dean Cowser, David Hightower, and Jeff Hightower.
