Funeral services for Reta Nell Freeman age, 76 of McKinney and formerly of the Miller Grove community, were at 10 a.m. Friday Jan. 25, 2013 at the Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Woodard officiating.
Burial was in the Old Saltillo Cemetery.
Mrs. Freeman was born on March 12, 1936 in Saltillo to J. R. and Eunice Cullpepper Irby. She married Billy Bob Freeman on July 18, 1953 in the Willow Springs Community She was a long time bank teller, loan officer, and bookkeeper having worked at Groves State Bank, Liberty National Bank and Commerce National Bank. She was also a member of the Willow Springs Baptist Church.
She died Wednesday, Jan. 23 in McKinney. She was preceded in death by her husband, her brothers, Billy Jean Irby, Harold Irby, and Jerry Irby, her sisters Helen Berry, Betty Reeves, and an infant brother, Kenneth Irby.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Cliff and Samantha Freeman of Prosper; a daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Steve Christian of Angleton; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Peggy Sue Smith of Monroe, La, and Annie Ruth Mills of Garland.
Pallbearers were Alex Freeman, Jeremy Christian, Sam Christian, Brett Garrett, Jim Woodard, and Mark Garrett.
