Tigers defeat Chisum

In their last home game of the 2017 season, the Mount Vernon Tiger varsity basketball team defeated the Chisum Mustangs 69-46 on Friday, February 10.

Lady Tigers are Bi-district champs, headed to Area

The Mount Vernon Lady Tiger basketball team easily cruised to the Bi-District title defeating Hughes Springs 72-22 on Monday, February 13 in Daingerfield.

Tiger seniors recognized

Seniors Savannah Wagner, Bailey Floyd, Brett Thomas, Hylke Talsma, Dylan  Rogers and Marisa Alexander were recognized prior to the Tiger basketball game.The Tigers basketball team honored their senior members during pregame ceremonies. Four Tigers players, a statistician and a student trainer were recognized.

Baseball blanks Daingerfield

The Mount Vernon Tiger varsity baseball team opened their 2017 season with an 11-0 win over Daingerfield in a scrimmage on Monday, February 6.

Tigers tied for first in district

After defeating the Chapel Hill Red Devils 57-53 on Friday night in Tiger gym, the Mount Vernon Tiger varsity basketball team is tied for first place in District 13-3A with two games left in the season.

JV Boys third at tournament
