Saltillo athletes run at Omaha meet

The Saltillo cross country teams competed at the Omaha\ Paul Pewitt meet on Saturday, October 10. The varsity girls won first place at the event. The varsity boys were second place behind Chapel Hill by two points. See the October 15 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald  for a listing of individual places and times.

Mount Vernon runners compete at Saltillo meet

The Mount Vernon cross country teams participated in a meet put on by Saltillo ISD at Lake Bob Sandlin on Thursday, October 1. Abigail Hughes was the first Lady Tiger runner to complete the two mile course.

Tigers, Raiders to meet Friday night

The Mount Vernon Tigers and the Winnsboro Red Raiders will play the 82nd game of the Hwy. 37 football rivalry at Tiger field on Friday, October 16. The action will kick off at 7:30 p.m.

Lions are hosts for Lake Bob Sandlin meet

The Saltillo cross country teams were hosts for a meet at Lake Bob Sandlin on Thursday, October 1. The varsity Lions won first place, and the varsity Lady Lions were third place overall in the meet.
