Junior varsity football teams come up short

Tigers to face Pittsburg Pirates Friday Setpember, 26

Mount Vernon will travel to Pittsburg on Friday, September 26 to face the 0-4 Pirates, who have lost to Pleasant Grove, Gladewater, New Boston, and Atlanta. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. at Pirate Stadium.

The junior varsity “Purple” football team defeated the Hooks Hornets 22-18 on Thursday, September 11 at Tiger Field. The junior varsity “White” football team lost to Rivercrest 22-6.
