Lady Tigers team advance to Region II meet

They earned to right to advance to the Regional meet on November 1.

Eighth grade Lady Tiger volleyball team District champions

front row, left to right, Sam Lowry, Sara Sinclair, Riley Hughes, Heather Brown, Maddie Hatch, back row, Annie Coffey, Zaylen Lee, Marleesha Swain, Zakenya Linwood, and Harley Robertson.The eighth grade Lady Tiger volleyball team went undefeated in district to win their second straight district championship with a victory over Paul Pewitt on Monday, October 20.

Junior high teams travel to Queen City

The Mount Vernon Junior High Lady Tigers volleyball teams traveled to Queen City on Monday, October 6 with three of the four Lady Tiger teams winning.

Tigers shut out Red Raiders, 7-0

JV Purple ties New Boston 14 all

The junior varsity Purple Tigers football team played the New Boston Lions to a 14-14 tie in New Boston on Thursday, October 9. The JV White team lost 24-20 to Rivercrest.

Football rivalry plays out Friday

The Mount Vernon Tigers and the Winnsboro Red Raiders will play the 81st game of the Hwy. 37 football rivalry at Winnsboro’s stadium on Friday, October 17.
