Sub varsity Tigers find success

The sub varsity Tiger football teams have met with success during the first two weeks of the 2015 season. Both the junior varsity and freshman teams defeated both Rains and White Oak. For information from these games, see the September 10 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.

Saltillo ladies compete at Avery

Ladies start season at Union Grove

The Mount Vernon High School varsity girls cross country team started their 2015 season at a meet at Union Grove on Saturday, August 29.

The Mount Vernon Tigers will travel to White Oak to face the Roughnecks on Friday, September 4. The game will start at 7:30 p.m. White Oak is rated as one of the top two teams
