In the final game of the regular season, the Mount Vernon Tigers baseball team prevailed over the DeKalb Bears 2-1 in an emotionally-charged game at Tiger Field on Tuesday, April 22.

Lady Tigers clinch Area Title, aim for Regional Quarterfinal

Mount Vernon catcher Bailey Bohlken protects the plate from Commerce’s Emily Gruver during the sixth inning of the first game. The Lady Tigers won the game 4-3 in an extra inning. The Mount Vernon Lady Tigers defeated Commerce in a best of three series at Grand Saline on Friday and Saturday, May 2 and 3 to claim the Area Title.

Junior varsity perfect in district
