The fresh coat of paint restored the piece of art to its original beauty. The Texann sculpture was placed at the farm of the Rick Butler family in November 2004 just west of Mount Vernon on the South Service Road to I-30. It was the second of four sculptures to be ‘permanently pastured’ around the Mount Vernon. See the November 19 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more information.
