Kennedy completes basic training

Beta Club competes at State convention

A total of 21 Saltillo students participated in the State BETA Convention in Grapevine, TexasA total of 21 Saltillo students participated in the State BETA Convention in Grapevine, Texas on February 9-10 and many placed in various competitions. Edi Olayo received third place in Spanish, and Garrett Tarver was runner-up in Creative Writing. These two students will advance to the National Beta Convention June 17-20 in Savannah, Ga.  For more information about this group, see the February 22 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
