Trick-or-Treat event set Oct. 31

The annual community Trick-or-Treat event has been set for Saturday, October 31. The event will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Franklin County Sports Complex located on CRNW 1030, just west of Hwy. 37, approximately two miles north of Mount Vernon.

Hub taking COVID break

The Hub, Franklin County’s senior citizen meal center in Mount Vernon, is closing for 14 days due to the an attendee receiving a positive COVID-19 test result.

Sanderson, Dorners win stew contest
