The Mount Vernon Volunteer Fire Department will be the sponsor for a Carter Blood Care blood drive this Saturday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It will be at the Mount Vernon Fire Station at the corner of W. Rutherford St. and Hwy. 37. For more information, see the Aug. 15 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
