No action taken on road sign maintenance

The Texas Department of Transportation is offering a contract to local counties to allow them to take over maintenance and replacement of advance county road signs on state road rights-of-way.

Franklin County’s Commissioners Court members took no action on the offer at their last meeting in March. See the April 3 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald, for more information about this issue.
