Parker pleads to murder, gets life sentence in Franks’ death

Joshua Anthony ParkerJoshua Anthony Parker pled guilty last Friday to a charge of murder in the stabbing death of Timothy Paul Franks on April 5, 2018. He was sentenced to “life.”

Mr. Parker was originally indicted for murder, but was reindicted for the offense of capital murder in March of this year. The plea to “life” in a murder case means that he has to serve 30 calendar years. See the May 9 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for the rest of this story.
