Rainfall continues to be above average

Wet weather during June caused rainfall totals for the month and year-to-date to be above average.

The 8.72 inches that fell during the month brought the Franklin County year-to-date rainfall to 36.49 inches, more than 13 inches above normal. For more details about local weather, see the July 4 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
