Tenative agreements reached on city budget plan

A budget workshop Monday, July 22 for the City of Mount Vernon yielded several tentative agreements in the council’s approach to the 2019-20 fiscal year budget.

It included no property tax increase, funding of Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) requests at last year’s levels plus additions for  new requests, and inclusions of all current capital fund items requested. See the rest of this story in the July 25 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
