SWEPCO Seeks Approval of Low-Cost Renewable Energy

Southwestern Electric Power Co. (SWEPCO), an American Electric Power company, recently, announced plans to add 810 megawatts (MW) of wind energy by 2022.

This proposal supports SWEPCO’s long-term plan of significantly increasing its use of more environmentally friendly energy sources, such as wind and solar. For more about this proposal and its impact on customers, see the July 25 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
